Sint Truiden have announced the signing of defender Simen Juklerød from Norwegian side Vålerenga. The 30-year-old left-back returns for a second spell in Belgium having played for both Genk and Antwerp in the past few seasons. The club has not disclosed how long his contract will be for.
Juklerød began his career with Baerum in Norway before joining Oslo based Vålerenga in 2016. He played for the side until 2018 when he first moved to Belgium to play for Antwerp. In three seasons for the Great Old he made 87 appearances and scored five goals. He joined Genk for the 2021/2022 season and played 13 times before returning to Norway to rejoin Vålerenga. He helped the side return to the Eliteserien by winning the Norwegian second tier during the 2024 season.
He joins a Sint Truiden side that are looking to avoid finishing in the bottom four and having to fight against relegation this season.
