Soulé Not Vengeful Toward Juventus, Explains Roma Move

Matias Soulé is ready to take on his former team, Juventus, in a pivotal tilt for Roma and the Champions League race in general. He spoke to La Stampa.

“It’s a special game for me since I’ve spent five years in Turin. The Next Gen helped me a lot physically and technically. When I was on loan at Frosinone, I thought I would be back with the Bianconeri. In January, they told me they had to sell him to make money, maybe to a Saudi team. That negotiation didn’t come to fruition, but I knew I would depart in the summer. Thiago Motta was joking with me a lot and telling me to stay, but he was aware of the situation too.”

Soulé detailed how his Roma switch came to be after Juventus put him on the market.

Claudio Ranieri has supported me a lot, and I’m thankful for that. He gives me freedom in the final third.
