Emanuel Emegha is out of RC Strasbourg Alsace’s fixture against Olympique de Marseille with a calf injury, whilst Ângelo Gabriel could start.
Emegha joins Thomas Delaine, as well as fellow strike partner Lebo Mothiba on the sidelines. The latter is a more long-term absentee. It is therefore Kevin Gameiro who will lead the line at the Vélodrome. Moïse Sahi Dion could also start, however, he is in competition with Chelsea loanee Gabriel. Should the Brazilian winger start, Patrick Vieira will opt to deploy a 4-3-3.
Unlike their opponents on Friday night, Strasbourg have not been decimated by Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) absences, with only Saïdou Sow called up to represent his country. Gerzino Nyamsi, who is strongly linked with a departure this January, is not expected to start.
