RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Moïse Sahi Dion (22) is set to miss several months’ worth of action, according to L’Équipe, who revealed that the forward has suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury.

Dion, who has come through the ranks at Strasbourg, played 18 matches for his formative club last season, scoring three goals in that time. However, he has yet to feature this campaign under new manager Liam Rosenior, due to a knee injury. Whilst the striker had been hoping to make a return, he has now suffered a separate injury.

L’Équipe report that Dion has ruptured his Achilles Tendon. The Ivory Coast youth international will therefore be absent for several months and may not feature this season. Without the striker, whose contract with Strasbourg runs until 2026, Rosenior will have to make do with his two other options up top: Emanuel Emegha, and Sékou Mara, who arrived at the Meinau from Southampton in the summer.
