Bayern Munich will be without Joshua Kimmich for their Bundesliga game at Stuttgart on Friday night. The 29-year-old missed the final training session on Thursday and will therefore not make the squad, with the player suffering from tendonitis. Leon Goretzka is expected to step in for Kimmich, but other options are João Palhinha and Konrad Laimer.

Dayot Upamecano is also expected to be given a rest with next week’s UEFA Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen in mind. The Frenchman was expected to start last weekend against Eintracht Frankfurt but had to withdraw at the last minute due to injury. Like Bayern’s 4-0 win against Eintracht, Eric Dier is expected to start alongside Kim Min-jae.

As for Stuttgart, Nico Woltemade is in excellent form which has surely caught the attention of Julian Nagelsmann for Germany’s international fixtures later this month. The 23-year-old should start alongside Deniz Undav, with Ermedin Demirovic and Jacob Bruun Larsen on the bench.
