‘Summer move not ruled out’ for €60m Premier League target | OneFootball

Piero Hincapie has not ruled out a summer transfer away from Bayer Leverkusen.

Hincapie is on the transfer radar of several top teams, with interest in the Ecuadorian high from the Premier League.

Liverpool and Chelsea have both extensively tracked Hincapie in recent months with the duo keen to sign a left-sided centre-back in the summer. Real Madrid are also said to be monitoring his situation.

Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea are also all interested in Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen, though Hincapie could emerge as an alternative. The 23-year-old has a release clause of €60m (£51m) and is considering his options.

Leverkusen are keen to retain the services of the defender, who can operate centrally or at full-back. Hincapie has impressed with his ball-carrying from deep and ranks in the top five percent of Bundesliga centre-backs for progressive carries, crosses and fouls drawn.

Hincapie has made 161 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen since his arrival from Talleres de Córdoba in 2021. He formed part of the club’s German double-winning side last season, a feat achieved without losing a game. Hincapie has also won 44 caps for Ecuador.
