Liverpool defender Tony Gallacher has seen a move to Sunderland fall through.
The Daily Mail says Gallacher's proposed move to Sunderland has fallen through after the League One club pulled out of the deal.
Liverpool were prepared to cut short the 22-year-old left back's contract allowing him to join on a free but with a sell-on clause inserted into the transfer arrangement.
Sunderland manager Lee Johnson was keen to bring in former Scotland Under 19 international Gallacher and confirmed he was one of a number of options the club were looking at as young left back Denver Hume is injured and has yet to sign a new contract.
Johnson feels he needs a number of bodies in before August 7 as he plans Sunderland's challenge for promotion.
However, Sunderland changed their mind on Wednesday evening over their move for Gallacher and the deal is now off.
