Real Madrid will be eager to bounce back to winning ways in La Liga as they face Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The team, currently sitting third in the La Liga standings, is coming off a successful midweek performance, having claimed the FIFA Intercontinental Cup with a dominant 3-0 victory over Mexican side Pachuca.
Meanwhile, Sevilla secured a 1-0 win against Celta Vigo in their last league match, and now they turn their focus to their next challenge.
Real Madrid’s attention will be firmly back on domestic football as they aim to regain their winning form in Spain’s top tier.
In their previous La Liga outing, they were held to a 3-3 draw by Rayo Vallecano, a result that has left them looking for a return to winning ways.
With an impressive record of seven wins and just one loss from their eight home games this season, Los Blancos will be hoping to continue their strong form at the Bernabeu.
Sevilla, on the other hand, has struggled on the road, registering only one victory in their away matches so far during the 2024-25 campaign. This sets the stage for a crucial encounter where Real Madrid will be expected to assert their dominance at home.
Now, let’s take a closer look at how Real Madrid could line up for the match against Sevilla:

Thibaut Courtois will undoubtedly retain his position in goal, as the Belgian goalkeeper remains one of the most reliable figures in the team.
On the right side of defence, Lucas Vazquez is expected to start as the right-back. While Vazquez is primarily known for his attacking contributions, his defensive solidity will be crucial against Sevilla’s attacking threats.
In the centre of defence, manager Carlo Ancelotti is likely to stick with the pairing of Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Rudiger has proven to be a powerful and commanding presence at the back, while Tchouameni has established himself as a versatile and reliable defender.
At left-back, Fran Garcia will continue in his usual role. Garcia’s pace and work rate make him a vital part of Real Madrid’s defence, and his ability to get forward and support the attack will be key in offering balance to the team.

In midfield, Real Madrid will rely on the energy and creativity of Eduardo Camavinga. The young Frenchman will act as the pivot in midfield, playing a crucial role in both breaking up opposition attacks and initiating Real Madrid’s forward play.
Alongside Camavinga, Jude Bellingham will continue to be a driving force for the team. The English midfielder has been one of Real Madrid’s standout performers this season, bringing creativity and dynamism to the midfield.
His ability to make late runs into the box and contribute with goals has made him a key figure in Ancelotti’s setup.
Federico Valverde, known for his energy, work rate, and versatility, will complete the midfield trio. His ability to cover ground quickly and support both the defence and attack will be vital.

Up front, Real Madrid will have to adjust their attacking setup due to the suspension of Vinicius Jr. With Vinicius out, Rodrygo is expected to step into the centre-forward role.
Rodrygo has shown his versatility in the past, and his ability to link up play and finish chances will be crucial in this match. His movement off the ball and pace will put pressure on Sevilla’s defence.
On the left wing, Kylian Mbappe will be a key player for Real Madrid. The French superstar’s pace, skill and goal-scoring ability make him a constant threat to opposing defenders.
The right-wing will likely be occupied by Brahim Diaz. The Moroccan, who has shown flashes of brilliance this season, will be tasked with providing width and attacking options on the right flank.
