Milan Primavera fought until the final minute against Sampdoria: the game ended 1-2. After winning away against Roma, the Rossoneri were looking for points to get them closer to the play-off spots, but the loss against Sampdoria does complicate things. On the other hand, our opposition made the most of this chance and took three key points in the fight for safety. After ending the first half behind, AC Milan paid dearly for the visitors quick second goal in the second half, and despite their efforts, they couldn't comeback. Despite Filippo Scotti's impact after the break, Guidi's side couldn't get the desired result, meaning that Juventus and Fiorentina have closed them down in the table.
Sampdoria knew how to strike at the right time, getting the better of an AC Milan side that aren't always perfect in defensive transitions. Up front, the Liberali-Sia-Perrucci trio didn't quite manage to threaten the Sampdoria defence as much as Guidi would have wanted. Krastev's error and Scotti's finish gave the Rossoneri hope, but the late pressure wasn't enough. Liberali-Asanji's two chances and Nissen's effort weren't converted. AC Milan now sit in seventh place, and on Saturday, in their next game, AC Milan will face Cesena who finished their game against Fiorentina in a 2-2 draw.
