Capocannoniere - The award for Serie A’s top scorer given out at the end of each season.

Cessione - A player sale

Classifica - The league table.

Forza - “Go!” or “Come on!” Fans of almost every team use it - “Forza Juve” or “Forza Viola” etc.

Mercato or Calciomercato - The transfer market.

Promozione - Promotion to the next league up.

Scudetto - The league title. It literally translates as “little shield,” referring to the badge teams wear on their jersey when they've won the league.

Salvezza - Avoiding relegation, literally means “salvation.”

Scambio - To exchange, or switch the play. Also used when teams swap players in a transfer deal.
