The Tijuana Xolos have made a splash in the current transfer window as the border city club has brought in several players from Queretaro. Along with these players, the Xoloitzcuintles officially announced Pablo Guede as the new manager of the team.
Guede last managed Monarcas Morelia, where he found success with a limited squad. Guede was able to lead the now extinct team from Michoacan to the semifinals of the Liga MX 2019 Apertura season.
The Argentine manager was able to obtain 21 points in 12 games as Monarcas fell to Club America in the semifinals. Guede uses a very offensive style of play with his teams that is very attractive to the eye.
The 45-year-old was having another solid season when the 2020 Clausura came to a halt as Morelia was in ninth place with 14 points. Monarcas Morelia was fighting for a playoff spot as Guede’s style and tactics were really paying off.
