Milan Skriniar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is likely over after the former Inter Milan standout went on loan to Fenerbahçe SK during the winter transfer window to finish the 2024-25 season.

The veteran joined PSG as a free agent after his contract with Inter Milan expired. The 29-year-old Slovakia international is now contracted with the Ligue 1 champions until 2028.

While Skriniar was a regular starter last season, he’s no longer in Luis Enrique’s plans. He made 37 appearances under Enrique. Skriniar’s loan to Fenerbahçe does not include an option for a permanent transfer, and PSG will likely look to sell him in the summer.

The summer transfer window is still a couple of months away from opening, but that isn’t stopping the rumor mill and teams from plotting their offseason plans.

Tottenham Hotspur will need to bolster their backline, and Milan Skriniar is again being linked to the English club after Spurs were keen on him during the winter transfer window.

According to Fichajes (h/t GOAL), Tottenham reportedly added Milan Skriniar to their list of potential targets to strengthen their defense. With Cristian Romero’s future uncertain, Spurs are searching for an experienced, dependable defender.

Skriniar’s background in the Champions League and Serie A makes him an appealing option for the London club. However, Skriniar isn’t the only player Tottenham are eyeing.

The club also monitor other defenders, such as Jonathan Tah, Dean Huijsen, Marc Guehi, and Jarrad Branthwaite. Still, Spurs’ growing interest in Skriniar and their financial power could give them an edge in the race.
