However, recent injuries have affected his continuity and performance. He has featured in 13 games in the ongoing campaign so far and has managed to score only two goals. He is averaging 2.5 shots, 0.4 key passes, and 0.5 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).

The English striker is known for his strong physicality and dominating aerial presence. He is an intelligent player and clinical in his finishing around the penalty box. He also drops back at times and links up well apart from creating multiple scoring opportunities.
Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin is quite understandable. The club see him as a potential replacement for Richarlison, who has failed to deliver since his arrival. As the Brazilian is reportedly looking to exit from the club, it makes sense for the management to bring a replacement.
Though Calvert-Lewin’s recent form has detoriated significantly, he continues to be a valuable player. His immense Premier League experience and high quality in the final third could be extremely useful for Spurs. Since his link-up abilities are good, he will enjoy playing along with the likes of Dominic Solanke and Heung-min Son.
The 27-year-old’s arrival will bring a new spark in Ange Postecoglou‘s side. Moreover, getting a player of his quality for free can never go wrong. However, Tottenham Hotspur will have to face stiff competition from other English clubs.
