Ange Postecoglou brings Yves Bissouma back into side
Ange Postecoglou has named a strong a Tottenham XI as he can for tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final at home to Manchester United.
The big decision facing the Spurs boss was which of Pape Matar Sarr, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson should be left out of the starting lineup.
All four players are in good form but it is Johnson who is on the bench, with Kulusevski in the front free.
Postecoglou has far fewer options at the back and does not risk Destiny Udogie, with the left-back still feeling sore about being forced off inside 15 minutes of Sunday's 5-0 thrashing of Southampton. Djed Spence switches to left-back in a second consecutive start.
Yves Bissouma is back from suspension and returns to the midfield, replacing Lucas Bergvall, while Heung-min Son should be fresh after being replaced at half-time at St. Mary's.
Rodrigo Bentancur (suspended), Cristian Romero (quad), Micky van de Ven, Wilson Odobert, Ben Davies, Richarlison (all hamstring) and Guglielmo Vicario (foot) all remain sidelined for Spurs.
Starting XI: Forster, Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence, Maddison, Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Solanke, Son
Subs: Austin, Whiteman, Reguilon, Dorrington, Hardy, Bergvall, Olusesi, Johnson, Lankshear
