Welcome to Tuesday’s round-up of all the latest news, rumours and speculation from the transfer sphere.
Manchester United are the subject of several rumours on Tuesday.
They are keen on Lyon defender Malo Gusto, say RMC Sport, although there are suggestions in Italy that their interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has cooled due to the high asking price.
Jeunes Footeux also claim that they are one of the sides interested in AZ winger Jesper Karlsson, along with Tottenham, PSV, Fulham and Brighton.
After Record’s report on Tuesday that Chelsea are back in for Enzo Fernández, they have offered more detail on a potential deal, claiming that they may return with a €100m offer in addition to unnamed players moving the other way.
They are also are aiming to take advantage of the uncertainty at Everton by moving for two of their top talents in Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana, per the Daily Telegraph, while the Times report that Thiago Silva is close to agreeing a one-year extension at Stamford Bridge.
But there could also be departures before the end of the month as the Evening Standard state that Hakim Ziyech, Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher are all the subject of permanent transfer interest, while Omari Hutchinson, Cesare Casadei and Gabriel Slonina are all wanted on loan.
CBS Sports state that Newcastle remain interested in a move for Leicester’s Youri Tielemans, having enquired about him in the summer but been put off by his £35m asking price.
Nottingham Forest’s incredible spending splurge may not be done yet as Sky Sport Italia claim they have expressed interest in Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini.
Conflicting reports continue to emerge on the future of Lionel Messi at PSG, with some claiming there is no chance of a renewal and others suggesting he is happy in Paris and open to staying but stories in Spain have made one thing clear: there will be no fairytale return to Barcelona.
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly threatened to break off his relationship with agent Jorge Mendes if he could not engineer a move to Chelsea or Bayern Munich after his Manchester United exit, with the striker ultimately ending up in Saudi Arabia.
With an exit on the cards, Roma playmaker Nicolò Zaniolo is favouring a move to Milan over a Premier League switch to join Tottenham.
Weston McKennie could leave Juventus before the end of the month, with Sky Sport Italia suggesting Leeds are primed to pounce.
Chelsea target Moisés Caicedo has broken his silence on rumours linking him with a move away from Brighton this month.
“I’m focused on Brighton and I’m here playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me or take my focus away,” he told his club’s media team. “I’m only focused on things here and I handle the speculation well.”
Arsenal completed the signing of highly-regarded Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior.
And one of Argentina’s top young talents, Máximo Perrone, finalised his long-awaited move to Manchester City from Vélez Sarsfield.
