Our Japanese buzz-bomb has left his mark on the Celtic support and even club legends, with a whole host of people paying tribute to the striker. Trevor Sinclair reserved a special mention for the wee man in the aftermath of his departure.
Sinclair, an outspoken pundit and vocal supporter of the Hoops, is never one to shy away from proffering an opinion on the game, or indeed Celtic and Scottish football for that matter. He can sometimes be heard on talkSPORT, where he will on occasion defend the club from the usual suspects down south in the English media.

The former Aston Villa star gave a wonderful tribute to Kyogo on social media site Twitter (X), claiming he knew that the man from Japan was a good egg when he saw footage of him picking up litter on his debut at Celtic Park way back in 2021. It was certainly a moment that made you pause and reflect when you saw it, as it was so wholesome.
It’s certainly a big blow and is one of those times which is certainly sad for the support, as Kyogo defined an era in many ways. He signified our rebirth under Ange Postecoglou when dragged the club from that dark slump they had fell into and were staring the abyss in the face.
Kyogo’s presence brought a renewed hope and energy and that invigorated the fanbase to get behind what Ange was building. We will be forever grateful for that.
Here’s Sinclair’s full tribute to be wee fella below:
