AC Milan are heading to Verona in search of three much-needed points, but they will also use the game to watch a target up close.
According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress), the Milan directors have not yet decided who to try and sign in January as a deputy to Youssouf Fofana. Among the names on their list however is Reda Belahyane, who will be an opponent tonight.
There are a number of clubs interested in the Moroccan, who has become a regular starter for Hellas Verona despite being only 20 years of age. Milan like him because he has physical and technical qualities reminiscent of Ismael Bennacer, who is looking for full fitness after his injury.
Belahyane is not the only name being considered, though. Morten Frendrup, Samuele Ricci, Johnny Cardoso and Warren Bondo are names that the management will sort though, but if they are impressed by what they see tonight then that could sway them.
The issue behind the plan is that there are varying reports regarding whether Belahyane will actually start the game. Paolo Zanetti might go with a midfield double pivot of Serdar and Duda, at least according to La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.
