It looks like some Sky Sports pundits have been debating their teams of the season so far for the Premier League, and there are many surprise omissions.

It is that midway point in the season now where you start reflecting and looking back on the season so far. And despite the last couple of games where Chelsea struggled to a draw against Everton, and then lost to Fulham at home on Boxing Day, Enzo Maresca’s side have been doing very well so far this season.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea looking at 5/6 positions to sign new players in!

They are currently fourth in the league but have a chance to go second again tonight if they can beat relegation battlers Ipswich Town. That is not a given, but it is expected and really, they need to be winning these games if they truly are serious again.

Despite the league position and the vast improvements this season, both Tim Sherwood and Darren Bent have only named on Chelsea player in their teams of the season so far.

Palmer makes it

Palmer has come up with some incredible numbers this season

As you can see from the images below, both Bent and Sherwood have only picked Cole Palmer, and have both somehow ignored Moises Caicedo and even Marc Cucurella.

This is Bent’s pick:

And this is Sherwood’s pick:

How on earth has he ignored Mo Salah even!? There is also some other top performing players missing here from other clubs. Very strange picks these ones.

To be honest though, I am not surprised with Sherwood, he has always been a pundit that I personally do not often agree with or enjoy listening to. And it is pretty much the same for me with Bent as well.

I can’t wait to see what sort of teams they come up with at the end of the season! That’s sarcasm by the way, in case you didn’t get it!
