Reports claim Udinese ultras kept insulting Mike Maignan this evening after that nine months ago they had forced him out of the pitch following racist abuse.
Udinese ultras insulted Milan keeper Maignan during a Serie A match at San Siro on Saturday.
Calciomercato.com reports that ultras from Friuli called the France keeper a “sh**” man” for the entire second half when Maignan played under the away sector.
Bianconeri ultras also showed a banner that read: “Only a greeting today, at Udine an appropriate tribute.”
Milan and Udinese meet again at the Bluenergy Stadium on April 13, 2025.
Nine months ago, on January 20, 2024, Maignan stormed off the pitch after receiving racist abuse from Udinese ultras during a Serie A match. The game was halted for five minutes.
Udinese banned four fans for life after the shameful incident.
Today, Milan secured a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze, assisted by Christian Pulisic.
Udinese have 13 points in eight Serie A games this season.
