The Magpies secured their place in the last four of the competition on Wednesday night following a 3-1 win against Brentford at St. James' Park courtesy of Sandro Tonali's first-half brace and Fabian Schär's strike.
Eddie Howe's side have been rewarded with a semi-final tie against Arsenal, who defeated Crystal Palace in the quarter-final stages, which will consist of two legs.
The first-leg will take place at the Emirates Stadium on the week commencing Monday, 6th January 2025 before United face the Gunners at St. James' Park on the week commencing Monday, 3rd February 2025.
Newcastle have faced Arsenal four times in the competition, losing all four ties, and their last League Cup encounter against the North London outfit took place during the 2010/11 campaign as the Gunners secured a 4-0 away win in round four.
