Lazio fans were left to sweat over the condition of Tijjani Noslin who couldn’t leave the pitch unassisted at the final whistle, while Mattia Zaccagni and Nuno Tavares were also dealing with their own health issues.
In Saturday’s contest against Lecce at the Via del Mare, the Dutchman entered the pitch in the 83rd minute as a replacement for his captain, but he immediately found himself on the receiving end of a heavy blow courtesy of Lassana Coulibaly. The striker was seen limping until the end of the match, before being helped out by the club’s medical staff at full-time.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Noslin was then taken to the hospital, and he was pictured arriving on a stretcher. Luckily, the initial X-ray didn’t detect any injuries. However, he will certainly undergo more detailed medical tests in Rome to reveal the extent of the knock.
On another note, Lazio Space reports that Zaccagni and Tavares were both suffering from intestinal problems on Saturday, which explains why neither man was at his best. The two players usually set the left flank ablaze, but they had a quiet night compared to their usual standards. The Portuguese left-back was replaced by Luca Pellegrini in the 70th minute, while the captain left his place on the pitch for Noslin in the final minutes.
Luckily for Lazio, they managed to return home with three vital points in the bag thanks to Adam Marusic’s late winner which ended the valiant resistance of 10-man Lecce.
