Disappointed after the defeat conceded on the pitch of the Stade Vélodrome (2-1), the Brazilian full-back was present in the mixed zone to explain his feelings.
The scenario did not go in favour of AS Monaco. Despite Aleksandr Golovin opening the score at the end of the first half, the Rouge et Blanc ended up conceding twice in the second half and losing 2-1 at the Stade Vélodrome to Marseille. It was a frustrating result that Vanderson, starting on the right of the defence, tried to analyse. 🎙️
Good evening Vanderson. Can you give us a word about the match?
I think we played a good match, we had chances that we couldn’t convert. It’s a scenario a bit similar to the match against Benfica (2-3). Playing here is never easy. We showed some good things, we have to keep that in mind for the next matches. I think both teams left chances begging in terms of their attackers. They were able to take advantage of them more. So we’re going to work on that even more in training.
We mustn't forget that we've won a lot of games in recent weeks. We're going to come back home and regain confidence, because that's important.
It’s a difficult week after the defeat against Benfica…
Yes, it’s never easy, it’s even very challenging. But we mustn’t forget that we’ve won a lot of games in recent weeks. We’re going to come back home and regain confidence, because that’s important. Our goal is first to play the next Champions League
Can you explain the two goals conceded?
There was a misunderstanding for the first goal but we have to find the connections to avoid this kind of situation. It can happen to anyone at any time, that’s the game. We have to stay focused until the end of the match.
