Victor Osimhen is ‘open’ to a transfer to the Saudi Pro League this summer, amid interest from Al-Hilal.

The Saudi champions want to bring in a marquee forward and have an extensive budget, following a failed attempt to lure Mohamed Salah from Liverpool. Osimhen is a player on the club’s wish list with the Nigerian set to leave Napoli on a permanent basis this summer.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he has scored 30 goals in 35 appearances. Osimhen joined the Turkish Süper Lig champions on loan following his fallout at Napoli, after failing to secure a permanent transfer.

Osimhen held talks with Chelsea and Al-Ahli in last summer’s window but was unable to reach an agreement. Interest remains high in the forward from the Premier League, though Al-Hilal could put together a package to blow English suitors out of the water.

Transfer journalist Ben Jacobs is reporting that Al-Hilal want to make a statement signing before the club’s involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

Osimhen can leave Napoli for €75m (£64.1m) due to a release clause in his contract, though Al-Hilal could propose a huge salary offer to the striker.

The potential arrival of Osimhen in the Middle East could see Aleksandar Mitrovic leave Al-Hilal. The former Fulham forward has scored 62 goals in 72 games since joining Al-Hilal from the Cottagers in 2023.
