Serie A stars Piotr Zielinski and Nicola Zalewski put on their fanboy hats after full-time in Poland’s 5-1 loss away to Portugal in the Nations League, as they were spotted asking Cristiano Ronaldo for pictures in front of the team coaches before they set off on Friday night.
Zielinski and Zalewski were two of three Serie A representatives in the Poland line-up, which also included Bologna’s Kacper Urbanski, while Portugal had Milan’s Rafael Leao at their disposal, plus an international debut for Lazio’s Nuno Tavares off the bench.
Though Poland were humbled by their hosts on their night, including a sensational Leao display, Zielinski and Zalewski still did not want to miss the opportunity to ask Ronaldo for a few quick snaps after full-time.
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star scored twice on the night, including a bicycle kick, to bring his international tally up to 135 goals at the age of 39.
