Real Madrid lifted the Intercontinental Cup by beating Pachuca in the final by 3-0. Their recent performances have been really good and a matter of relief. They are now preparing to host Sevilla at home in the La Liga this weekend.
The Whites are third on the points table with 37 points after 17 rounds of play. As their arch-rivals Barcelona have slipped up in recent weeks, it gives them the opportunity to capitalize on the situation. Hence, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be motivated to secure all three points this Sunday.
Defence
Thibaut Courtois had a great save against Pachuca and he will be motivated to be impactful between the sticks once again. Lucas Vazquez wasn’t convincing enough but his right-back position is secured in the lineup.
The centre-back duo of Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni has done well in recent games. The pair should remain intact at the heart of the defence. No change at the left-back spot as Fran Garcia continues to provide his services.

Midfield
Eduardo Camavinga is enjoying his role as a defensive midfielder. He will be partnered by Federico Valverde, who remains the automatic pick in the middle of the park.
Rodrygo is operating on the right wing with Jude Bellingham playing in the central areas. However, a change of face happened on the left flank as Vinicius Jr. is suspended after having picked the fifth yellow card of the season.
In his absence, Kylian Mbappe should be deployed there with Brahim Diaz operating as the sole striker.
Eder Militao, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal are confirmed absentees while Ferland Mendy is tipped to return to the squad.
