Everton defender Vitalii Mykolenko is facing a potential lay-off with an ankle injury.
Mykolenko limped out of last week’s win over Liverpool as Sean Dyche’s side edged closer to securing their Premier League status.
But the Daily Mail claim that he is now set to miss the Toffees’ final three games and and risks being sidelined for Ukraine’s Euro 2024 campaign.
The 24-year-old will see a consultant on Tuesday to determine whether he needs to undergo surgery on the suspected ankle ligament damage.
If he has to go under the knife, which will be taken by the player, his club and potentially national side, it will rule him out of the start of next season.
Mykolenko has played a key role in Everton’s battle for top-flight survival with 28 league appearances and two goals.
