Barcelona can go seven points clear at the top of La Liga with a victory over Celta Vigo, and they are on course to get it after taking the lead in the early stages of their encounter at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.

It was not expected that Lamine Yamal would be benched by Hansi Flick for this match, but that decision has actually paid dividends in the early stages as his replacement has opened the scoring. Ferran Torres has been in good goalscoring form of late, and he has now added another goal to his collection.

It’s a wonderful solo goal from Ferran, who collected the ball from deep before driving past several Celta players and then finding the bottom corner with an excellent strike.

Barcelona will be pleased to have scored yet another early goal in La Liga, and at things stand, they are taking another step towards the La Liga title.
