Zacatecas - After completing its first 10 days of intense work, Chivas played its first preseason match against Mineros for the Clausura 2025, in which Óscar García was able to observe most of his squad.
The match, which ended goalless in regular time, was an opportunity for the Rebaño to start loosening up their legs after the most intense part of their preparation; it also allowed the team to show other interesting aspects of their performance.
Special mention must go to the Chiva fans who provided a great atmosphere at all times and made a great entrance at the Carlos Vega Villalba Stadium. Thank you, ChivaHermanos!
Chiverío's next matches will be the Copa Pacífica quadrangular to be played on December 27 and 29 at the Estadio Jalisco.
The dangerous plays- At 18', Fernando Beltrán gave the ball to Fidel Barajas, who left a rival in his path through the center of the field and then gave the ball to Daniel Flores, who reached the end line and sent a service to the near post that the goalkeeper took with his hands before Armando González sent it into the net.- At 24', Fidel found time and space in the front zone, and tried his luck with a left-footed shot that went for the base of the right post, but the goalkeeper handled to deflect the ball to the corner.- At 27', the 'Hormiga' received a throw-in in the half-moon area, turned on his axis and shot at goal, but the ball went just wide of the left corner.- At 39', Hugo Camberos stole the ball in three-quarters of the field and shot at goal when he realized that the goalkeeper was out of his area, but the ball went over the crossbar.- In the 70th minute, Mateo Chávez sent Cade Cowell down the left flank, who attacked the space and left his marker far behind, but the goalkeeper played well in his area and managed to burst the ball before the Rojiblanco attacker could score.
