An update on the impending return of Barcelona star Fermín López to the club has on Monday been forthcoming online.

Midfielder Fermín, of course, was absent for Barcelona’s opening fixture of the new campaign over the weekend.

As much came with the 21-year-old still in the midst of an extended summer vacation, owing to his exploits with Spain at both the European Championships, and Olympic games.

Barca, it could be argued, missed the spark provided by their midfield goalscorer, whose star has only continued to ascend over the course of recent months.

Safe to say, then, that all of a Blaugrana persuasion will no doubt be delighted to hear the latest word stemming from the media when it comes to Fermín’s availability.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the Spaniard will link back up with Hansi Flick’s squad in Catalunya’s capital on Tuesday.

From here, Fermín is expected to begin training immediately, ahead of taking his place in Barcelona’s matchday squad to face Athletic Club on Saturday evening.
