Paris Saint-Germain have had their eye on Osimhen for some time, and with the summer transfer window right around the corner, the buzz around his future is getting louder.
The Nigerian striker, currently shining at Galatasaray, has rediscovered the form that once made him one of Europe’s hottest prospects during the 2022-23 season. He has racked up 30 goals and seven assists in 35 appearances across all competitions, putting himself back on the radar of several top clubs.
According to GIVE ME SPORT, Manchester United are starting to get concerned about PSG’s growing interest. The French club are now seen as the favorites to land him.
PSG have the financial firepower to get a deal over the line and are reportedly ready to meet both Osimhen’s wage demands and his £63 million release clause. GIVE ME SPORT also notes that United and Chelsea view PSG as their main competition in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
Adding to that, The Athletic’s David Ornstein previously reported that Osimhen is not part of Manchester United’s summer plans.

GIVE ME SPORT further reported that United have pulled out of the running after realizing Osimhen was seeking a contract worth around £300,000 per week. As a result, the club have shifted their focus to other targets, including Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
While there were earlier suggestions that United had agreed personal terms and were willing to trigger a release clause of about £65 million, those claims have been dismissed. Osimhen is not currently on track to make a move to Old Trafford.
The report adds that United are unwilling to meet Osimhen’s hefty wage demands, leading to a standstill. As things stand, he is set to return to parent club Napoli after a standout season-long loan with Galatasaray.
