Play was halted for several minutes during the first half of the Coppa Italia Round of 16 match between Inter and Udinese on Thursday evening due to a possible medical emergency in the stands.

Kristjan Asllani had been about to take a corner, but it soon became clear that something wasn’t right in the stands.
Lautaro Martinez got up off the bench and appeared to be signalling to medical staff. Captain on the night Alessandro Bastoni was also gesturing to staff on the touchlines.

Initial reports suggest that a supporter behind the goal had suffered some sort of medical emergency.
After a delay of around six minutes, applause began to ring out around the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, as the supporter in question was escorted out by medics.
The delay clearly had an affect on Udinese, as Asllani scored directly from the corner as play resumed to make it 2-0 to the Nerazzurri just before half-time.
Marko Arnautovic had already made it 1-0 after receiving the ball in the area from Mehdi Taremi following an Udinese turnover in their own half.
