Following Real Madrid’s exit from the UEFA Champions League last night, the rumour mill has been buzzing with speculations about the future of manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian tactician, after all, has been under intense pressure for quite some time now and the early elimination from Europe’s premier competition and the manner of the exit have only served to turn up the heat.
In fact, just a while ago, reports emerged suggesting that Ancelotti could leave Real Madrid at the end of this month, right after the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26.
However, as per the latest update from journalist Miguel Angel Diaz of COPE, Ancelotti remains firm in his intention to continue at Real Madrid.
Indeed, despite growing interest from the Brazil national team, the iconic manager intends to remain in charge of Los Blancos unless the club themselves act and sack him.

Only in that scenario would he consider taking over the reins of the Selecao.
Ancelotti has made no secret of the fact that he wishes to remain at Real Madrid and see out his contract, which runs until the summer of 2026.
That stance appears to have not changed despite the major setback that his team suffered against Arsenal last week.
A 5-1 aggregate defeat over the two legs of the quarter-final tie and the disappointing performance in both matches, with the team getting outplayed completely, reflect poorly on the Merengues – more so considering the superstar players present in the squad.
But it appears that Ancelotti remains confident in his ability to turn things around and intends to stay put at Real Madrid until the club decide to axe him.
A meeting is expected to take place between the manager and the club officials after the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona which will be key in deciding the next step.
