Celtic bounced back from their defeat at the hands of the Rangers with a 3-0 win over Hearts. The result means that they need to win just three more games out of a remaining seven to guarantee themselves a fourth-straight league title. At the same time, they are in the Scottish Cup semi-finals as well, where they will be taking on St Johnstone.

So, a treble is well and truly on for Brendan Rodgers' side. Now, it is about finishing the job. And there is some good news for them on the injury front.

One of the major problems that Celtic faced in that game against the Rangers was the unavailability of key players. Liam Scales was one such player who was absent in the Glasgow Derby.

He has returned to training though and could be back available for selection in the near future, which is great news for the Hoops. As reported by The Celtic Way, Rodgers said:

"We’ve got Liam Scales back now. He won’t be ready for this weekend, but he’s back in training and in contact with the team."We expect him to be available leading into the Kilmarnock game. We’re starting to get players back and have a really strong squad again."

Scales has not played a ton of football for Celtic this season. He was a starter in the previous campaign but has fallen behind Auston Trusty in the pecking order this time around.

That being said, that centre-back situation has gotten a lot more interesting in recent weeks. Trusty was another player who missed the game against the Rangers and as a result, Maik Nawrocki was brought in from the cold and given a start.

Nawrocki was one of the rare bright spots for Celtic on the day though and that resulted in him getting a start in the following game as well, as the Hoops kept a clean sheet against Hearts. So, one has to wonder if the Polish defender is now ahead of both Trusty and Scales in the defensive pecking order.
