Carlo Ancelotti’s future is a mess, and it would appear that Real Madrid and Florentino Perez have a big part to play in the same.
The Italian coach was set to join the Brazilian national team in June after the current La Liga season and the deal seemed to be in place.
After the two parties reached an agreement, however, Los Blancos reportedly put the move on hold with Perez conveying to Ancelotti that he will not receive his remaining salary if he leaves in June.
The new development sent talks into jeopardy and almost immediately delinked the coach from the job in Brazil.
As relayed by UOL Esport (h/t The Madrid Zone) in a recent update, Ancelotti is furious not only with Real Madrid but also with Brazil for how matters have unfolded.

While it is indeed Real Madrid who have complicated his departure, he is specifically angry at the CBF because every step of the negotiation between him and the national team has constantly leaked out to the press.
Needless to say, the manager feels suffocated by the constant rumours. The report also adds that Brazil have still not given up on signing Ancelotti and that they will make one final push for the Real Madrid manager in the coming days.
In the end, however, everything may well depend on whether the coach can make the move in June or August.
As for Real Madrid, it is now an open secret that Xabi Alonso will be the team’s new manager from next season. Ancelotti will stay until the end of La Liga, and it remains to be seen who will be at the helm for the FIFA Club World Cup.
