Jamie Vardy announces emotional Leicester exit after 13-year stay | OneFootball

Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy has revealed that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

In an emotional farewell message to supporters, he admitted he was gutted to depart but that the time was right to move on.

It brings an end to a glorious 13-year spell at the King Power Stadium having signed from Fleetwood Town for a bargain fee of £1m.

The club have hailed him as their greatest ever player upon announcing his departure, with Vardy leaving with a Premier League title, FA Cup, Community Shield and two Championship wins.

He will leave having made almost 500 appearances and scoring close to 200 goals as part of the most successful era in Foxes history.

Vardy will bid farewell to fans for the final time at home against Ipswich on May 18.
