Jorge Mendes has told Chelsea Joao Felix wants to join Galatasaray this summer according to reports in Turkey.

Felix arrived at Chelsea last summer from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £45m, and signed a seven year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Things didn’t go to plan for the 25-year-old over the first half of the season and he started just three Premier League games as he played second fiddle to Cole Palmer.

Felix wants to join Galatasaray

Surprisingly in January Felix decided he’d already had enough and wanted to embark on a fresh challenge, with the Portugal international completing a loan move to AC Milan.

Felix made a great start to life Italy as he scored on his Milan debut, but things have slowly taken a downward turn and he’s now lost his place in the side.

Reports have stated Milan aren’t planning to sign Felix on a permanent basis, but he could have a new home next season.

Turkish outlet Sporx have reported that Felix’s agent Mendes has told Chelsea’s management the attacker wants to join wants to join Galatasaray and he wants the two clubs to come to an agreement.

The report adds Felix’s salary is viewed as the biggest issue and the Turkish champions want a loan deal with an option to buy.

Felix is due back at Chelsea ahead of the Club World Cup this summer, and it had been reported he could be reintegrated into the squad due to difficulty in finding a buyer.

Fabrizio Romano has reported the door isn’t completely closed for Felix at Chelsea and the most likely scenario would probably be another loan for the Portuguese.

It’s unclear what sort of fee Chelsea would want for Felix, but given the season he’s had it’s unlikely they would recoup the £45m they signed him for.

Selling Felix would leave the Blues without a back-up to Palmer and that’s something they would need to address in the transfer window.
