Liverpool & Arsenal make enquiry for 23-year-old defensive midfielder with a “great future” | OneFootball

On-loan Lazio midfielder Nicolo Rovella has done quite well for the Italian club this season, and he has attracted the attention of Liverpool and Arsenal from the Premier League.

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, both Liverpool and Arsenal have made enquiries for the 23-year-old defensive midfielder, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him in the coming weeks.

Lazio have an obligation to make the loan move from Juventus permanent, under certain conditions. However, they are under financial pressure, and they could be forced to sell the 23-year-old immediately after signing him in the summer if they fail to secure Champions League qualification. The likes of Liverpool and Arsenal will be hoping to snap him up for a reasonable amount of money in the summer.

Rovella is a talented young player who has the attributes to succeed in the Premier League. He could be an important player for Liverpool or Arsenal in future. He has been labelled as a player with a “great future” by his former teammate Andrea Masiello.

Meanwhile, it is no secret that Liverpool need a quality defensive midfielder. Rovella will protect the back four and help them tighten up defensively. He will also allow the creative players to operate with more freedom. The young Italian could be an upgrade on Wataru Endo.

Similarly, Arsenal will be without Thomas Partey and Jorginho next season due to contract expiry. They need to bring in quality alternatives, and the Italian midfielder would be the ideal acquisition.
