Manchester United have welcomed no fewer than five injured stars back to training ahead of their return to Premier League action.

Fitness concerns have plagued Ruben Amorim's time at Old Trafford but, after being nominated for the Premier League's Manager of the Month award for March, the boss is confident his squad will enjoy a stronger end to the season once the injured players are back available.

Ahead of Tuesday's trip to high-flying Nottingham Forest, United's injury concerns eased dramatically with the return of five players.

In defence, centre-backs Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro have both returned, as has left-back Luke Shaw, who has managed just three appearances across all competitions this season and has not played at all in 2025.

Goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton were also noted to have returned in a video on United media.

With Mason Mount returning to the bench before the international break, United's list of injured stars has shrunk dramatically. Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Jonny Evans and Amad Diallo all remain unavailable, while concerns persist over young defender Ayden Heaven.

Heaven, who was on the cusp of a breakthrough before going down with an ankle injury before the international break, was expected back in training this week but was recently spotted walking with his ankle in a protective boot.

Amorim is expected to provide an update on Heaven, as well as those who have returned to action, ahead of Tuesday's game. United head into the match 13th in the standings, 17 points behind a Forest side sitting pretty all the way up in third.
