According to a report from L’Équipe, Manchester United are close to securing the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik (18) from Le Havre AC.
The French outlet reports that talks are well underway between the Premier League side and the teenager’s entourage, with some sources telling the paper that an imminent outcome could soon be announced.
The striker has been on the periphery of the Le Havre first team, having been called up to the bench for Didier Digard, but never making a first-team appearance for the club.
Kana-Biyik is the son of former footballer and Cameroon international André Kana-Biyik and also the younger brother of Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, who also played for Cameroon.
This is not the first time that Manchester United have turned to Le Havre’s youth facilities to sign a talented young teenager. Paul Pogba (32) was famously signed by the English club from the Ligue 1 team’s academy system when he was only sixteen years old.
