Despite reports this afternoon that Giorgio Furlani was not convinced by Igli Tare, AC Milan are now expected to make a decision shortly.

It is never simple with Milan, and just as it seems a move may not be made, despite the cards being on the table since the beginning, a move is likely.

Just this afternoon, reports had suggested that Tare had met with Furlani, but the CEO was not left majorly impressed by the Albanian. However, this appears not to be the case, with Milan News reporting in the last hour that a decision is expected ‘shortly’.

As the report reads, the talks were positive, but did not completely resolve the issues which are still in place over Tare’s hiring. Once again, technical details were discussed, which is inferred to be about the coach situation – Massimiliano Allegri, Vincenzo Italiano and Gian Piero Gasperini are the leading candidates.

Tony D’Amico is still in the running, but with his contract situation, a move seems near impossible to crack currently, especially with negotiations already proving difficult with Atalanta, who do not want to lose their sporting director, as previously reported.
