Nasser Al-Khelaifi became yesterday the longest-serving president in PSG's history, surpassing Francis Borelli after leading the club for over 13 years. Since November 2011 and QSI's takeover, Al-Khelaifi led the club to a new era, filled with many successes and marked by significant achievements over the years. Which is certainly enough to make him the greatest president in PSG's history. Here at PSG Post, we will take a look at how he turned the club into one of the greatest sporting franchises in the world.

Trophy haul and domestic dominance :

Since 2011 and QSI's takeover, Paris Saint-Germain have dominated the league, becoming a trophy-winning machine with 71 trophies won on the period, with its men's football side winning 34 of those trophy, showcasing PSG's dominance on the national stage. The club is now the most decorated in French football history. Furthermore, the arrivals of many world-class players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi brought the club in another dimension in world football which helped the club to dominate domestically under Nasser Al-Khelaifi''s direction.

However, the main objective of the club is not only to dominate domestically but in Europe too, and to do so the club will need to win the Champions League, a competition still eluding the Parisians, though they came close to win it in 2020.

Paris Saint-Germain, a global brand:

Through Nasser Al-Khelaifi presidency, the club also became a global brand throught numerous strategic partnerships such as the one with the Jordan Brand, helping the club to reach new fans globally while making an entrance in the world of fashion. Furthermore, the signings of numerous football stars such as Neymar, Messi and Sergio Ramos helped the club to reach new heights in terms of global following, bringing news fans to the club.

Additionally, the club opened academies all over the world, conveying the club's values globally while bringing its expertise in player development. Furthermore, many PSG stores opened globally which helped to reach new fans while exporting the brand PSG in the world.

Financial growth and stadium developments:

Under Nasser Al-Khelaifi's influence, the club has also become one of the top three revenue-generating clubs in Europe, achieving matchday revenues of €170 million in the 2023/2024 season, an unprecedented record since 2011. The club is also the world's seventh most valuable football club, worth $4.4 billion, reflecting substantial financial growth under Al-Khelaifi's leadership.

In terms of infrastructure development, the club recently started a new era, with thier brand new cutting-edge training center, the PSG Campus, which will not only be used for the first team, but also help in the development of the next generation. Additionally, while it is not yet official, the club will build a new stadium, leavings its historic Parc des Princes with the project fo a €1 billion, 90,000 seats stadium in Massy which will bring the club to the level of their European rivals.
