We could have been looking at a potential title party today if the players hadn’t downed tools last Sunday afternoon in Perth. Unfortunately they blew that opportunity thus denying us the chance of clinching a fourth consecutive title in the home comforts of Paradise.

That doesn’t mean this afternoon’s clash with Kilmarnock is any less significant. It’s a vital game, and another obstacle in our pursuit of getting over that line and becoming the Champions of Scotland once again.
We must however be on the top of our game. We must show that desire and will to win, something we’ve been lacking in recent weeks. We need and demand to see a reaction after that disaster at Perth on Sunday.
It’s a case of deja vu as it’s where we’ve been these last few weeks. We demanded a reaction after the loss at Easter Road and got it after thumping victory’s over Aberdeen and St Mirren at Celtic Park and St Mirren Park respectively. We demanded similar after the horror show at Celtic Park against theRangers, and got a reaction in a comfortable victory against Hearts.

Let’s hope we see one today against Kilmarnock who will no doubt make it tough considering their status at the bottom end of the table. We need to win, nothing less is acceptable. The players quite simply need to put on a show, we deserve nothing less.
After listening to Brendan all week they will know nothing less than a great performance and a positive result will do. I’m sure they’ll respond accordingly.
