Randal Kolo Muani (26) had a dream start to his loan spell at Juventus, however, the Paris Saint-Germain loanee has fallen out of favour since the managerial change at the end of March.
Thiago Motta pushed for Kolo Muani’s arrival and the Frenchman delivered early into his loan spell, netting five goals in his first three games. However, the PSG loanee’s goal-scoring spree was fleeting and he, like his team, then endured a barren streak in February and March. It is a run of game that cost Motta his job.
The Italian was replaced by former Olympique de Marseille manager Igor Tudor and since the managerial change, Kolo Muani has played just 45 minutes in three games. Logically, it would seem that the former FC Nantes forward’s loan in Turin would not be made permanent. No buy option was included in the loan deal concluded in January.
However, L’Équipe understands that there is still a chance of Kolo Muani remaining at Juventus beyond the end of the season, however, it would be contingent on Tudor leaving, which does remain a possibility, even in the event that the club secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League. Juve’s sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, is actively scouring the managerial market.
If the conditions are favourable, Juventus would be open to offering another loan in the summer, this time including an obligatory purchase clause that would be payable in the summer of 2026, L’Équipe understands. Regardless, Kolo Muani does not have a future at PSG.
