PSV and Feyenoord are said to be competing for Dmytro Riznyk. That rumour arrives from Ukraine, following the Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper’s fine performance against Eindhoven earlier this season in the Champions League and the wider competition itself.
Riznyk shone in Eindhoven, particularly, with the Ukrainian goalkeeper seeming almost unpassable in parts. While he couldn’t prevent PSV from achieving a 3-2 comeback, they have not forgotten his starring role.
According to Ukrainian journalist Igor Burbas, the Eindhoven team sees him as a potential successor to Walter Benítez, who will leave PSV on a free transfer after this season.
In addition to PSV, Feyenoord are also reportedly interested. The Rotterdammers have two full-fledged goalkeepers in Timon Wellenreuther and Justin Bijlow, but there is a chance that one of the two will not be satisfied with a season on the bench. The question is whether the 26-year-old Ukrainian is interested.
Riznyk has a contract with Shakhtar Donetsk, who currently sit third in the league, until the summer of 2027. This season, he has played 33 matches and conceded 32 goals. The goalkeeper, formerly of Vorskla Poltava, has kept a clean sheet fifteen times.
