As we approach the final phase of the campaign, Real Madrid are in a spot of bother once again with regards to injuries.
Andriy Lunin and Thibaut Courtois are both nursing injuries, which has left youth Fran Gonzalez in a pole position to start in the upcoming game against Valencia.
The absence of Courtois, in particular, has been concerning for Rea Madrid, especially at a time when the team has a number of crucial matches coming up.
A recent report from Diario AS, though, has offered an update on Courtois’ fitness and recovery as he looks to get back to full fitness.
The report suggests Courtois’ recovery is going at good pace right now, though the Belgian is being cautious with his fitness right now.

Courtois was not even in the team in the recent win over Real Sociedad. But he was supposed to rets anyway, with the coach expecting Andriy Lunin to start.
Now, Courtois’ aim is to get ready for the Champions League game against Arsenal next midweek, with a potential bench appearance against Valencia this weekend.
The Belgian has planned out his recovery as well and the first order of business will be to try and join group training on Friday.
Real Madrid are taking special care of Courtois, who has shown positive sensations as of now. Whether or not he will play this weekend against Valencia will depend on how the goalkeeper reacts in the coming days.
In any case, Real Madrid, as mentioned earlier, have provisioned Fran Gonzalez to start against Valencia, should Courtois look to wait it out and start directly against Arsenal.
