It is understood that Real Madrid’s exit from the Champions League has sparked serious conversations within the club.
Even though the club continues to be involved in two more competitions, there is no denying that failing in Europe has set alarm bells ringing.
The loss to Arsenal has exposed several flaws within the squad that can no longer be overlooked, and as a result, the club’s management is already thinking about making big adjustments to the group.
According to a report from MARCA, one of the most important issues within the club is the obvious loss of hunger and determination among a few players.
At the moment, it seems like the drive to compete at the highest level is no longer consistent across the squad.
This trouble has pushed the club’s decision-makers to consider letting go of a few long-serving players and bringing in fresh faces who can add renewed energy and ambition..

Real Madrid’s top brass believes that now would be the perfect time to refresh the locker room atmosphere. The idea of making major adjustments isn’t just about the coaching staff, even though Carlo Ancelotti’s future is still being discussed.
Whilst the Italian has not been formally dismissed, the uncertainty around his role continues to develop. His fate relies on how the team performs in the Copa del Rey, which is one of the ultimate possibilities to end the season with silverware.
Aside from the coach, several players are also under scrutiny. Some of them, like Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez, are nearing the end of their contracts and might not be renewed.
However, the changes could go beyond those with expiring deals. The leadership at Real Madrid feels that some positions need fresh competition and that previous achievements should not prevent difficult decisions.
The aim is to build a team that is not only tactically strong but also full of desire, which has sometimes been missing.
These modifications would not occur in a single day, but the planning is already in motion.
What is clear is that Madrid are no longer inclined to tolerate any signs of complacency, especially not after another painful Champions League exit.
