According to Fichajes, it has come to light that Real Madrid are prepared to spend up to €90 million to secure the signing of Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, with the club seeing the Argentine international as a perfect successor to Luka Modric.
With Toni Kroos having retired and Modric expected to leave at the end of the current season, the club believes it is essential to bring in a player who can seamlessly blend technical quality, experience, and the ability to perform at the elite level.
Mac Allister has long been on Real Madrid’s radar. During Carlo Ancelotti’s previous spell at the club, the midfielder, then playing for Brighton and Hove Albion, was identified as a crucial addition to maintain balance and creativity in the midfield.
However, those initial talks did not progress into a deal, allowing the player to make his move to Liverpool.
Since joining Anfield, Mac Allister has proven to be one of the Premier League side’s most dependable and versatile midfielders, contributing to both their attacking and defensive setups.

Now, with Xabi Alonso set to take the helm at Real Madrid next season, the club has reactivated their pursuit of the Argentine with renewed focus.
The former Real Madrid midfielder-turned-coach sees Mac Allister as an ideal complement to the young midfield core consisting of Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, and Aurelien Tchouameni.
The aim is clear: to create a powerful midfield that blends physicality, vision, and attacking capability, while also providing leadership and experience.
While Liverpool are unlikely to make it easy for the World Cup winner to depart, Real Madrid are confident that their financial strength and the allure of playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe will ultimately persuade Mac Allister to make the move.
Given his exceptional form and well-rounded skillset, the 26-year-old could play a pivotal role in shaping up Real Madrid’s midfield.
