La Liga giants Real Madrid have late this week been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Andriy Lunin has linked back up with the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in group training.

Goalkeeper Lunin has for his part spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines.

This comes owing to a muscular injury suffered en route to Real Madrid booking their place in the finale of the Copa del Rey, at the expense of Real Sociedad.

The Ukrainian has since been forced to sit out each of Los Blancos’ last four fixtures as a result.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Valdebebas is anything to go by, then Lunin appears to be inching towards a return to competitive duties.

This comes amid confirmation that the shot-stopper has been cleared to play his part in group activities in Real Madrid training once more.
