The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to lodge an appeal to the Spanish football authorities.
This comes owing to developments in the club’s recent meeting with Getafe.
Real Madrid were of course back in action on Wednesday, making the short trip to the Estadio Coliseum for a La Liga meeting with capital rivals Getafe.
When all was said and done, a solitary Arda Güler strike proved enough to guide Los Blancos to all three points, keeping alive the club’s slim title hopes.
And yet, those behind the scenes at Real Madrid came away from the matchup far from satisfied.
Added to the injuries suffered by both David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni picked up his latest yellow card.
The Frenchman’s 4th of the La Liga campaign, one more would in turn give rise to a suspension.
As per a report from Diario AS, though:
‘Real Madrid have decided to appeal the yellow card received by Aurélien Tchouaméni in the 1-0 victory over Getafe.’
Los Merengues, it is claimed, feel as though a free-kick should in fact have been awarded in their favour, for a foul by Mauro Arambarri on Tchouaméni.
