Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez will likely be able to make his return against Parma.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

The international break has taken its toll on Inter Milan in terms of injury.

The most prominent player in the Nerazzurri’s squad to suffer a physical problem is captain Lautaro Martinez.

The 27-year-old striker went away with the Argentina national team squad at the start of the break.

However, Martinez’s time in the Argentina camp came to an earlier end than expected.

This was due to a thigh strain that he picked up while in training.

Inter will hardly rush Lautaro Martinez back. The 27-year-old will need a bit of time out to rest and shake off the muscle problem he picked up.

Therefore, Martinez will not be available against Udinese this weekend in Inter’s first match back from the break.

Moreover, confirms the Gazzetta, Martinez also will not be available against AC Milan.

Next weekend Inter play the first of two legs of a Coppa Italia semifinal tie against the Rossoneri.

However, the Gazzetta anticipate, Inter can count on Martinez for the following match. They take on Parma in Serie A early next month.

Then, there is the huge two-legged Champions League quarterfinal, tie against Bayern Munich. Martinez should certainly be available for that marquee tie.
